Wonder Mommy Quick Bio
I’m a Stay-At-Home-Mom. I’m always busy! I’m raising two kids, and they keep me on the go. I have a girl (2) and a boy (4).
I love to craft. I always have something going. I crochet, sew, paint, and just about anything else that I can get my hands on. I’m trying to limit my crafting to sewing and crocheting. The other crafts take away from those two, and they are my favorites. I’m also most productive at them.
I also like to bake. I’m not too fond of regular cooking, but I do love to bake up something sweet for my kids to eat…and me too. I do the regular cooking thing…when I have to. I’m good at it, but I just prefer to bake.
I love to read, but I don’t get very many chances these days. Cyberpunk is my favorite genre. My husband first introduced me to this genre, and I just can’t get enough. Effinger, Stephenson, and Gibson are among my favorite authors.
I love to watch movies. I also love the watch TV. I know in the eyes of many this makes me brain-dead, but it just one of those hobby that I have. My all-time favorite TV show is I Love Lucy; corny, I know, but it is my favorite. I watch it whenever I get the chance.
I’m a Southern Baptist Christian. My religion is very important to me. A great deal of people are turned off when I say that I’m Southern Baptist, but if you get to know me…I think you will see that it isn’t a horrible trait to have
I was born and raised in the south. Since marrying my husband, I have lived all over the country. I’ve never given up my southern accent, colloquialisms, or ways. It is just a part of who I am.
I have a huge sense of humor. I love to laugh and make jokes. My husband also loves to laugh at the silly things that I do unintentionally.
I am married to the most wonderful man in the entire world. He has to be away for work a good bit, and it makes getting through the rigors of life tough. But, we are still as much in love today as we were 11 years ago when we got married.
Now, you must think, she’s been married 11 years…how old is she?!?! I’m only 30. I married young…we waited to have children.
The last thing that you need to know about me is that I love holidays. I go overboard decorating and participating. Tradition is very important to me. Holidays, especially Christmas, turn me back into a 4 year old.
These are just a few of the facts that help make me who I am.

We also waited to have kids - we were married 7 years before our first son. This year, we’ll celebrate 22 years of marriage and our oldest son turns 15. We moved around a lot during those first seven years and it would’ve been much tougher with kids.
It’s nice to meet you! Thanks for dropping by for the Blog Party.

Nice to meet you Wonder Mommy - you blog is definitely a keeper. Sewing and crocheting are my main hobbies too. However, I do love cooking and baking as well.
By the way, when I think of Southern Baptist, I think of my math teacher in high school. As a minister’s wife, she was a very caring woman and very protective of me. Her reasons, because I was the only Mennonite in the school and she saw how certain issues affected me. Thinking about her today just warms my heart.

I love Southern Gospel music…am an Australian Baptist so there are a couple of links there.
Enjoy crochet also, have not done much for a while.
Quilting is my main craft now, but paws do go into other areas. Moggie Puss is my only child…and companion at home……..and it being Aussie winter, guess who is snuggled up by the heater.
Am enjoying watching your sewing.
