Christmas Tradition

December 14, 2008

I’m going to tell you a little about a Christmas tradition that I have.  On Christmas Eve, the kids, hubby and I get bundled up.  We load into the car.  Then, we drive around looking at Christmas lights.  The radio plays Christmas carols.  We just spend time with each other…laughing, joking, and loving all the way.  When the kids are starting to get sleepy, we return home, put on pjs, and get ready for that visit from Santa.  We put out the cookies and milk, and head off to bed filled with the excitement of the coming day.

Leave a comment and tell me your favorite holiday traditions.

On Monday, December 22, head over to the EtsyBloggers Street team Carnival to see what some of the traditions of others are.

when we were kids we would always go to my grandparents house each christmas even and we would be allowed to open the present that they got us. even though they have both passed my mom still gives us a present each christmas eve to open up…and always say, “remember how bammy and papa used to let you open their present each christmas eve?”

it is a fun way to keep the memory and spirit of our bammy and papa alive, and I am glad my mom still does this.

You can find a Christmas tradition from my childhood here:

It sounds like it could tie in well to your current ones!

This sounds like fun. On Christmas Eve we watch ‘Polar Express’ then the kids open up the presents that have been given by other people. We leave something out for Santa and his reindeer. Oh what fun 🙂
